“Science has disproved God”

The dorm-room knockout punch — here’s why it actually doesn’t land.

The viral claim:
“Science has disproved God. Evolution explains everything. The universe runs on natural laws — no need for a Creator.”

1. Science studies creation — it can’t speak to the Creator

Science is an amazing tool for understanding how the created universe works (gravity, DNA, stars, weather). But it has zero tools to say whether the Creator of that universe exists or not.

It’s like studying a painting and then declaring “the artist doesn’t exist.” The painting proves the artist — it doesn’t disprove Him.

2. Modern science was born in a Christian worldview

Every major founder of modern science (Newton, Kepler, Galileo, Boyle, Pascal) believed the universe had laws because there was a Lawgiver. They expected order because God is rational and consistent.

Today, as everything becomes “relative” and “your truth / my truth,” even science starts losing meaning. You can’t have objective laws without an objective Lawgiver. The more we reject the Creator, the more truth itself collapses.

3. Fine-tuning is the GOAT argument (literally unanswerable)

The six constants of the universe (gravity strength, strong nuclear force, expansion rate, etc.) are tuned to insane precision — change one by 1 part in 10^120 and there are no stars, no planets, no life. Not even close.

Random chance? Statistically impossible. Multiverse theories? Pure speculation with zero proof. The simplest, most logical answer: A Mind set the dials on purpose.

4. Evolution has massive, embarrassing holes

The fossil record is full of problems: a 200-year-old hammer found embedded in 2-million-year-old rock, human footprints next to dinosaur tracks, and sudden explosions of new life forms (Cambrian Explosion) with zero gradual ancestors.

Life is irreducibly complex — remove one part of a cell and it stops working. Random chance + time can’t build that kind of engineering. The more we learn, the more evolution looks like a story we were told, not the evidence we actually have.

Key verses to fire back

Bottom line your kid can say out loud:
“Science studies creation — it doesn’t disprove the Creator. The more we actually look at the evidence, the more the universe screams ‘designed on purpose.’”
